The Role at NFP
As an Accounting Coordinator at NFP, you will be assisting and working alongside the industry's best accounting professionals to manage the full-cycle accounting process. This includes but is not limited to analyzing balance sheets, managing general ledger accounts, recording commission statements, and assisting with month & year-end closing activities. You will also gain exposure to and assist with accounting projects as they arise from time to time.
What You'll Do
Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information
Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions
Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
Secure financial information by completing database backups
Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents appropriately
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Handle Client Payments as well as issue client refunds
What you Bring
Entry-level/intern to 2 years experience in AP/AR; Financial industry an asset
Go-getter attitude; not afraid to handle 'grunt-work'
Quick learner and comfortable in an uncertain/changing environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Some knowledge of full-cycle accounting procedures along with a high degree of concentration
Strong time management, organizational, and ability to consistently meet deadlines unsupervised
Quick learner and comfortable in an uncertain/changing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
