About the Role


We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated

Accounting Clerk

to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the full accounting cycle and provide day-to-day administrative assistance to ensure smooth office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, HST filing, payroll processing, and personal/business tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities


Accounting Duties



Assist with all stages of the accounting cycle, from data entry to period-end adjustments Prepare and file

HST/GST

returns Assist with

payroll processing

, including timesheet review and source deduction calculations Support preparation of

personal and corporate income tax

returns Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Maintain accurate and organized financial records Assist with accounts payable and receivable Prepare financial reports as needed

Administrative Duties



Answer phone calls and greet clients in a professional manner Maintain filing systems (physical and digital) Schedule appointments and manage client files Prepare documents, letters, and forms Support office operations as required

Qualifications



Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field (completed or in progress) Experience with bookkeeping or accounting software (QuickBooks is an asset) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Strong communication and client-service skills
