Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This position is a

3-month contract with possibility of extension

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Duties

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries Assist with month-end close processes Maintain G/L ledgers and related supporting schedule Reconcile G/L accounts and post adjustment accordingly Help reconcile inventory and perform preliminary analysis Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports Support payroll processing and expense tracking Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with internal controls Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes Provide ad hoc financial support as needed during team absences

Skills

Bachelor's degree, major in accounting is strongly preferred Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations/ASPE Proficiency in ERP systems such as Business Central is strongly preferred Previous experience in manufacturing industry is an asset. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities CPA designation or working toward it is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
