Job Description

We are offering an accounting clerk role based in Fergus, Ontario, Canada. The role involves providing clerical assistance to the accounting department, processing supplier invoices, and maintaining an orderly financial filing system. The role is on a contract basis.Responsibilities:

• Providing clerical support to the accounting department
• Accurately processing supplier invoices, including review of 3-way match and data entry
• Addressing issues highlighted in emails received from internal and external customers
• Assisting in the invoicing process
• Maintaining an organized financial filing system
• Reconciling various accounts
• Matching customer payments with invoices and posting daily AR transactions
• Setting up new vendors in the system
• Responding to emails and demonstrating effective written communication skills
• Creating reports using existing spreadsheets in Excel
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in Billing and Data Entry tasks.
• Knowledge and practical application of Invoice Processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial reporting.
• Experience in using QuickBooks for managing financial transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team as needed.
• Must have a strong ethical standard and understanding of confidentiality.
