Why This Role? We are seeking a highly attentive, organized, and motivated individual to join our Accounting team. Our ideal candidate has a love for numbers and values strong attention to detail.
Core Duties and Responsibilities As an Accounting Clerk, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Preparing approved general and trust cheques;
  • Completing daily general and trust bank deposits;
  • Accepting cash payments from clients;
  • Handling and assisting with general accounting inquiries;
  • Maintaining accurate filing and all related accounting duties;
  • Providing backup for expense form processing, visa approvals and payments, client credit card payments, partner auto draws, posting wires, etc.; and,
  • Providing general assistance to the Accounting team.

Qualifications and Skills To be successful, you possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Diploma or other education with a focus on Accounting;
  • Experience with cheques, trust accounts, deposits, processing payments, and/or a similar accounting role;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven organizational skills;
  • Superior communications skills and the ability to deal directly with clients;
  • Proven ability to manage time and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven work environment;
  • Ability to be self-motivated and autonomous;
  • Excellent team player who contributes positively to the team culture; and,
  • Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Office suite, and a talent for learning new computer programs quickly.
