Job Summary
An accounting clerk is required for a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, updating the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
This position will begin immediately and requires working Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting practices and principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong data entry skills
Experience with Microsoft Navision is considered an asset
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable processing
Daily Sales Report processing
Balance Sheet reconciliations, including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger for accountable entities
Calculate and prepare cheques
Maintain up-to-date and accurate cashflow
Assist with ad-hoc reports and projects as needed
