GENERAL FUNCTION

:
Reporting to the Manager of Finance this position will be part of a multi-faceted team that oversees the creation and operation of safe, affordable, hopeful communities of housing and shared spaces across a spectrum of affordability, location, size, permanence, and support. The Accounting Clerk, alongside the Finance Team, will provide accounting supports to team members and departments within the organization. They will be responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable and develop hope through housing.

ACCOUNTING CLERK ROLE SPECIFIC DUTIES & DETAILS:

Accounts Payable



Enter in all operations invoices Seek approvals when required Prepare weekly payment process for Manager of Finance approval Maintain customer files Reconcile Accounts

Accounts Receivable



Issue monthly invoices Maintain customer files Apply payments to invoices Reconcile accounts

Administration & Others



Monitoring and Managing accounting email Updating monthly Excel spreadsheets Entering Journal entries Processing monthly credit card transactions Reconciling Ledger Accounts

QUALIFICATIONS:



General Accounting Knowledge 1-2 years' experience in similar role Additional degrees and/or certifications is a plus Basic bookkeeping skills Proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks online Lived experience and/or working experience with communities we support Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively to build a strong sense of team Growth mindset and a willingness to learn and grow (thirst for knowledge, openness to feedback, embracing failure, flexibility and adaptability, and problem-solving skills) Demonstrated ability to respond innovatively to systemic challenges and roadblocks Solutions oriented approach to challenge and conflict management
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
