to join our team. This multifaceted role supports daily office operations, bookkeeping functions, and real estate project accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing both administrative and financial responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Accounting Clerk Duties:
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
Assist with month-end/ year end closing procedures and financial reporting.
Prepare and submit government remittances (GST/HST, payroll, etc.).
Issue invoices and track payments.
Perform regular bank runs and handle document deliveries as needed.
Assist with other administrative tax filings such as speculation taxes, underused housing tax (UHT), and related reporting requirements.
Track construction and development project costs.
Assist with preparation of draw requests and track progress billing with contractors.
Maintain updated records of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
Office Administration:
Oversee general office operations, supplies, and vendor coordination.
Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and handle correspondence.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Coordinate meetings, schedules, and company events.
Assist with HR onboarding and employee record maintenance.
Manage office equipment, IT coordination, and facility support.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting in Canada.
Experience or understanding of real estate development or construction accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle is required for local errands and bank runs.
