JLL is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our esteemed Property Accounting team. In this critical role, you will focus on accounts payable to streamline invoice processing and ensure accuracy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate or early career professional passionate about real estate and ready for a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As the first step in our Finance and Procurement process, we rely on your excellent capabilities to manage invoices, identify discrepancies, and maintain compliance. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with two days in the downtown office (Wednesday and one other day of your choosing) and the remaining days remote.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Ensure compliance of Finance & Procurement processes and procedures.

Coordinate Accounts Payable process, including review invoice coding, complete approvals, and ensure compliance with controls.

Complete payments for invoices by requesting cheque runs, initiating wire payments, and completing off cycle payment requests.

Oversee bank reconciliations for fund level bank accounts.

Manage Cash Management, including Positive Pay, alongside property accountant group.

Independently respond to basic client and general inquiries and escalate complex queries.

Maintain accounting ledgers and post account transactions.



WHAT YOU BRING:



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

Strong interest in real estate and a desire to build a career in the industry.

Ideally 3 + years of working experience

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of invoices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
