Mirage Pools is in search of an

Accounting Associate

to join our growing company.

We have a very experienced team that fosters a strong group atmosphere in a fast-paced work environment. We strive for exceptional customer service in Swimming Pool Service and Retail.

We are seeking an Accounting Associate who will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by performing routine accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records. This role contributes to the smooth functioning of both the service and retail sides of the business and ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:



Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payables and receivables.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements, vendor accounts, and other financial records.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Generate financial summaries and reports for management.

Assist with inventory reconciliation and tracking for retail and service operations.

Respond to internal and external inquiries related to billing and payments.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.

Provide support during audits and assist with compliance documentation.

Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking

Required Qualifications:



Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a small business or service industry

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage)

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in retail or service-based industries.

Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Knowledge of inventory systems and POS integration.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
