Job Description
Accounting Assistant
Become a core member of the finance & operations team in a high-growth technology company based in Saint John, N.B. Lead the company\'s bookkeeping, execute HR activities, and maintain systems and processes to support growth.
Full Cycle Bookkeeping: Ensure the company stays ahead of its cash flow.
- Be (or become) proficient with Quickbooks Online;
- Produce invoices, record financial transactions, post debits and credits, complete monthly bank reconciliations;
- Support managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Support the full-cycle recruitment & onboarding process;
- Support the administration of various internal programs;
- Support employees with administrative duties as needed.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is not a requirement, but would be considered an asset;
- Self-starter who can work both independently, and within a highly collaborative team;
- Interest working in a high-growth technology start-up environment;
- Strong finance acumen, including a solid understanding of the financial and accounting standards applicable to small businesses;
- Attention to detail and client confidentiality.
