Job Description

To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, be looking to find your place in the accounting field. Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization in the Wholesale Distribution industry. Reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component is the main focus of this position. You\'ll thrive in this entry-level position if you\'re an Excel enthusiast interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation. This opportunity is for an entry-level Accountant position and is located in Niagara, Ontario.

What you get to do every day

- Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned

- Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

- Researching and correcting account discrepancies

- Make monthly journal entries

- Log data

- Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes

- Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
- Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

- High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- General familiarity with Invoice

- Proven knowledge of Enter Invoices

- Practical knowledge of Invoice Entry

- Foundational knowledge in Process Vendor Invoices

- Quality experience with Invoice Issues

- Experience with Review Invoices

- Data entry experience desired

- Well-founded grasp of Enter Vendor Invoices

- Proficiency in Prepare Invoices

- Expertise in numeric data entry

- Wide ranging experience with Invoice Processing

- AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
