to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and accounting software. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting various financial reporting functions to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards. The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, assisting with audits, and providing insights into financial performance across multiple departments.
Duties
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Conduct account reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and ledger maintenance using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Support regulatory reporting requirements including SOX compliance, tax filings, and other statutory obligations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational goals.
Conduct internal audits and participate in external audit processes to ensure compliance with securities law and governmental regulations.
Analyze financial data for trends, variances, and potential risks; prepare detailed financial reports for management review.
Support payroll processing, cash flow analysis, and other financial services functions as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting standards, and relevant legal frameworks such as Wills & Trusts Law or LIHTC regulations when applicable.
Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts and best practices.
