Accounting Analyst, Real Estate Development

Wexe2x80x99re growing and looking for a passionate, driven and energetic candidate to support our Development Team for the position of Accounting Analyst located in Guelph, Ontario!The Accounting Analyst will assist with professional accounting tasks and analysis of financial data in support of various accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, and General Accounting while supporting our shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.What you will be doing:

  • Record monthly journal entries.
  • Reconcile and maintain a full understanding of all balance sheet and income statements.
  • Prepare detailed monthly variance analysis of balance sheet accounts.
  • Review, code and process approved invoices through to payment and filing.
  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure that monthly revenues are collected on time.
  • Prepare monthly HST remittance and federal tax installments.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain all accounting files in an organized and efficient manner
  • Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and/or special assignments as requested.
What we look for:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a related position.
  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
  • Strong accounting skills and ability to apply accounting theory, principals and techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in auditing practices and principles.
  • Practiced in the set up and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases as well as organizing data to prepare reports and financial documentation.
  • Strong critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting software (i.e. Simply, Accpac, Quickbooks, Yardi, etc.)
