We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information related to group insurance. Key tasks include:



Monthly reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Validating commission payments.

Extracting and analyzing data for reports and surveys.

Supporting accounting team activities.

Coordinating technology requests related to accounting.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial information for group insurance, including monthly reports, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.

Validate and process commission payments, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.

Extract and analyze data for surveys, financial reports, and management requests, maintaining accurate documentation in SharePoint.

Support accounting team activities, provide training, and assist during peak periods or absences.

Coordinate technology requests with IT to improve or maintain financial systems and processes.

What you'll need

Qualifications

University degree or college certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.

Strong knowledge of financial accounting, including transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Intermediate understanding of group insurance and employee benefits.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Query is an asset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to change, manage workload, and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and oral).
