Accounting Analyst

:

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical activities to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working with data and collaborating across departments to drive financial insight and efficiency.

How will you contribute to the team?:

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:


Prepare intercompany charge-back invoices for major projects. Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Prepare annual all-inclusive project charge-out rate evaluations and advise on potential adjustments. Perform monthly financial analyses and reporting as assigned. Support the Director of Finance in the monthly forecasting process. Assist the Accounting Manager in the preparation of the annual budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information. Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance metrics. Participate in year-end close by performing reconciliations, preparing working papers, and liaising with auditors. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and organizational policies. Provide backup support to other team members within the Finance department as needed.

Education and Experience:

University or College degree in accounting or business administration CPA Designation or close to completion status Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience with minimum 2 years in Analytical Role Experience in the construction industry an asset Strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems Good knowledge of dashboarding and financial models Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities effectively Knowledge of ViewPoint or any other construction ERP Software is a definite asset. Strong knowledge of ASPE
