We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and contribute to various accounting functions to support business decisions. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting and analytical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality financial insights.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting closing activities and variance analysis.
- Inventory - reporting, reconciliation and tracking.
- Fixed Asset - reporting, reconciliation and tracking.
- Managing Intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries, financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules.
- Assist with creation of forecasts and business plan.
- Financial analysis on company spending and costing (fixed assets/inventory/direct costs/overhead).
- Proven experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation is preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- US GAAP experience highly preferred.
