What's the Job?
Location: North York (preferred), open to Chatham, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Mon, Tue, Thu in office)
Duration: 1 year Pay Rate (T4): $45.72
High-Level Description
- Perform complex accounting and research analysis for GDS Affiliates finance team
- Prepare/review reporting schedules for quarterly/annual external filings and management reporting
- Complex accounting research and issue resolution
- Review contracts for accounting implications
- Month/quarter-end close support
- Explain complex accounting impacts to management
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure SOX and ARC compliance
- Support affiliate cost recovery and budgeting
- Maintain US GAAP knowledge
- University degree in business/accounting
- CPA designation + 4+ years related experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- High integrity and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Smartview
- US GAAP knowledge
