Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in our accounting practices. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of corporate finance principles. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and support various financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately. Perform account analysis to ensure all financial data is correct and up-to-date. Conduct account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations, to verify the accuracy of financial statements. Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for all financial transactions. Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Support budgeting efforts by providing relevant financial data and insights. Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Xero for efficient financial management. Prepare reports on financial performance as required by management.

Experience

Proven experience in accounting or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with corporate finance principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and Xero. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, auditing, payroll, budgeting, and bookkeeping. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
