Accounting Analyst

Job Description

The Accounting Analyst is directly responsible for performing data entry and analysis with respect to manufactured inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. The successful individual will be a key member of the accounting team, responsible for critical analysis and reconciliation. Responsibilities:



Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, coding, recording and posting accounts receivable and accounts payable data in Adagio

Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

Prepare and review bank and account reconciliations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Assist in month end close procedures.

Manage the cheque runs and EFT transactions

Maintain vendor and customer master files in Adagio

Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, including supporting source documents

Investigate and resolve account/invoice discrepancies; maintain a professional working relationship with external vendors and customers.

Participate in special projects and assignments as needed and required.

Monitor existing accounting and transactional processes for inefficiencies or redundancies and proactively bring improvement opportunities to the attention of the Accounting and Management Teams.

Qualifications:



A minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-volume accounts payable/receivable position Completion of a post-secondary Business Administration Diploma, or recognized equivalent required; a combination of education and experience may be considered Good working knowledge of accounting principles/practices Flexible, team oriented individual who shows initiative and is engaged in the continuous process improvement of the accounting function Attention to detail and high level of accuracy The ability to work in a multi-company accounting environment Proven follow through skills, and demonstrated initiative Ability to work without direct supervision. Strong organizational and time-management ability. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Capability to present information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work efficiently under stress and time constraints. Proficient in handling multiple priorities and adapting quickly to an ever-changing environment Proficiency with excel spreadsheets; filters, functions, pivot tables Knowledge of Adagio is a benefit
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
