We currently have a great opportunity for an Accounting Administrator to join our Winnipeg team. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Administrator will be part of a finance team that provides high-quality accounting services to multiple clients and demonstrates outstanding and timely customer service. As an Accounting Administrator, you will also perform banking, accounts payable and receivable and general accounting support for the Ellement group of companies. You will have access to and regularly work with information that is highly confidential and critical in nature. As an Accounting Administrator, you must be professional and highly organized, have excellent communication skills, with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work autonomously. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare timely and accurate working papers and financial statements for pension and benefits trust funds (client trust funds).
  • Perform banking functions, accounts payable and receivables for client trust funds.
  • Perform corporate accounting, banking, accounts payable and receivables for the Ellement group of companies.
  • Meet and communicate with external auditors for client trust funds.
  • Prepare year-end working papers for the corporate year-end audit.
  • Provide general accounting support, as needed.
  • Contribute to the team effort by completing other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • College diploma or bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (accounting, finance, or business administration).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting (minimum two years of relevant work experience).
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and accounting principles.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical, reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality related to client and business matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills.
