Overview



We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to support the financial operations of our heavy duty equipment repair facility. This role is responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, assisting with month-end financial reviews and reporting. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on equipment repair environment.

Key Responsibilities



Accounts Payable (AP):



o Process and record vendor invoices (parts suppliers, external vendors, etc.)

o Ensure timely payments to suppliers and service providers

o Reconcile statements and resolve billing discrepancies

Accounts Receivable (AR):



o Create and track customer invoices for repair services

o Record and reconcile customer payments

o Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts

Payroll Administration:



o Process payroll for mechanics

o Ensure accuracy of hours worked, overtime, and compliance with labour laws

o Maintain payroll records and employee files

Month-End Review & Reporting:



o Prepare and review month-end financial statements and reconciliations

o Verify general ledger entries for accuracy

o Support management with financial analysis for decision-making

General Financial Administration:



o Maintain organized and accurate accounting records

o Assist with budgeting, expense control, and cash flow management

o Support audits, compliance reviews, and year-end reporting as required

Qualifications



Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative finance roles (experience in an equipment repair facility setting would be an asset) Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
