Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Administrator to join our dynamic team in downtown Victoria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our financial health and supporting our commitment to fantastic client service. The Accounting Administrator supports the Accounting Team Lead, working alongside 2 additional personnel in office administration and accounting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable
Process Weekly Accounts Payable Invoices - approx. 400 invoices per week divided
Reconcile Weekly Receivings
Prepare Weekly EFT payments & cheques
Record Credit Card Payments
Vendor Cleanup - investigate and reconcile any vendor issues and outstanding discrepancies
GL / Reporting
Complete weekly Journal Entries
Summarize write offs and shrinkage periodically
Office Administration
Greet and assist visitors
Direct calls to appropriate personnel
Receive and distribute incoming mail
Update credit card information with vendors
Act as backup for receiver, entering in invoices into LBoss as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned by members of the administration office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
3 years accounting experience
Intermediate computer literacy
Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating System
Managing confidential information under the Personal Information Protection Act
Demonstrated professionalism and sociability in dealing with others both in person and by telephone
Strong organisation and time management skills
Experience with L-BOSS POS Software and Great Plains Dynamics a bonus
May require working at store level in emergency circumstances
