What we are looking for:




We are seeking a detail-oriented

Accounting Administrator

for our JP Motors dealerships who will be responsible for supporting accounting operations and collaborating with dealership teams to resolve common issues promptly and professionally. This role ensures accurate and timely transaction, purchase order, and payment processing, maintains data integrity, assists with account reconciliations and collection of accounts receivable, and contributes to the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:



Invoices, Purchase Orders and Payments



Process and administer purchase orders, invoices, and payments. Assist with tax, payroll, and intercompany matters. Review, code, and pay credit card statements. Follow-up on outstanding receipts. Liaise with vendors.

Deposits, Accounts Receivable, and Petty Cash



Assist with daily deposits. Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable balances. Support efforts to reduce outstanding receivable balances. Process and post adjustments promptly. Reconcile and maintain petty cash balances.

Account Reconciliations



Perform daily clearing and reconciliation of bank transactions and provide support for monthly bank reconciliations. Assist with monthly reconciliations and schedules for other balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

Dealer Specific Administration



Book vehicle deals. Perform other administration related to dealership operations. Assist with monthly statistical data.

Other



Liaise with and provide information to the external auditors. Provide backup coverage for and support Accounting colleagues. Maintain and file all accounting documents in an organized and timely manner. Adhere to company internal controls and dealership policies. Comply with privacy regulations with respect to handling of customer financial data. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Post secondary education in a related field. A CPA or bookkeeping certification is an asset. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting or administrative support. Experience in the automotive industry is an asset. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (PBS is an asset). Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices, account reconciliations, purchase order, invoice and payment processing and accounts receivable management. Familiarity with tax, payroll, and intercompany processes in an asset. Ability to analyze financial data and identify and resolve discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Professional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
