About Us:
Strathcona Beer Company is an independent brewery and hospitality group with two unique taproom locations and a central production facility brewing three distinct beverage brands. Our business spans hospitality, packaged retail, and wholesale distribution -- and we're looking for a capable and detail-oriented Accounting and Administration Manager to oversee the financial and administrative functions that keep us running smoothly.
Position Summary:
This role oversees all aspects of financial operations, payroll, supplier coordination, and internal compliance. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, organizational systems, and the ability to prioritize within a fast-paced, multi-revenue stream environment.
Responsibilities:
? Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor communications and reconciliations
? Oversee payroll and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations
? Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online and generate reports for leadership
? Monitor cash flow, manage payment timing, and support forecasting
? Coordinate with software providers and internal teams to maintain key systems (e.g. Toast, Sling, Ekos, MarketMan)
? Ensure CRA, Province of BC, WCB, and licensing compliance
? Support HR onboarding, staff records, and internal admin processes
Requirements:
? Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative roles
? Comfortable managing supplier relationships and payroll independently
? Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
? Strong organizational and communication skills
? Bonus: experience with hospitality or brewery systems like Ekos or Toast
