Job Title: Accountant/ Controller Reports To: Tron Vice President & Director of Finance Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for accurate all aspects of the full cycle accounting processes , including accounts payable, accounts receivable and month end closes recording transactions and timely reporting of accurate financial information. Overall Accountability: \xc2\xb7 Preparation of financial reporting including monthly financial statements and analysis,

• Forecasts of income and cash flows,
• Government agency & bank compliance reporting
• Full cycle accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Liaise with auditors and preparation of year end working papers
• Preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts

• Other duties as required

Month end financial statement preparation and review

• Accounts Receivable

o Oversee duties o Transactional duties on an as needed basis o Provide training

• Accounts Payable

o Oversee duties o Transactional duties on an as needed basis o Provide training o Review bi-weekly payables for payment o Follow up with managers regarding vendor invoices

• Budget, forecasts and analysis

o Assist in preparation of the budget templates and processes o Review monthly budgets and make recommendations to forecasts

• Policy and Procedure development and implementation
• Cash flow management including bank accounts and ATMs
• Assist in the hiring of accounting personnel
• Assist in the performance reviews of accounting personnel
• "Record Storage" filing system maintenance
• All other duties as requested by the Controller and Director of Finance

Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 2-5+ years of progressive and practical accounting experience, preferably in a construction environment.

• Accounting degree/Accounting Diploma or equivalent years of experience
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.
• Experience with SAGE 300 ERP or other industry specific project costing software considered an asset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• 
  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with various groups within the organization (Management, Project Controls, Purchasing etc)

  Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and be highly organized
• Experience working with Sage 300 ERP or other industry specific project costing software considered an asset
