Position Summary
Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for supporting community initiatives? Join our team as an Accountant and play a key role in managing the financial integrity of a multi-year grant allocation project.
The accountant is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of a grant-funded project, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial consolidation. This role ensures accurate financial operations and supports both internal teams and external grantees.
Position Responsibilities
Manage all accounting functions for a multi-year grant project, including payables, receivables,
and reconciliations.
Track and report grant funds and expenses in compliance with guidelines.
Prepare financial reports for grantors and stakeholders; consolidate grantee reports.
Develop and monitor project budgets; conduct forecasting and advise on fund reallocations.
Support grantees with financial reporting and ensure timely submissions.
Oversee banking transactions and cash flow; reconcile bank statements.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with financial regulations.
Collaborate with program staff and leadership to align financial and program goals.
Participate in other YES Foundation activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in non-profit or grant-funded programs.
Proficiency in Sage Cloud and advanced Excel.
Strong knowledge of grant accounting and compliance.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with financial regulations for non-profits.
As an organization that provides services in English this position requires excellent English writing and communication skills.

Etes-vous un(e) professionnel(le) de la finance minutieux(se) et soucieux(se) du detail, anime(e) par la volonte de soutenir des initiatives communautaires? Joignez-vous a notre equipe a titre de Comptable et jouez un role cle dans la gestion de l'integrite financiere d'un projet pluriannuel finance par une subvention.
Le(la) Comptable est responsable de superviser tous les aspects financiers d'un projet finance par une subvention, incluant la comptabilite, la production de rapports, la budgetisation, la conformite et la consolidation financiere. Ce role assure l'exactitude des operations financieres et soutient a la fois les equipes internes et les beneficiaires externes de la subvention.
Responsabilites principales
Gerer l'ensemble des fonctions comptables d'un projet pluriannuel finance par subvention, y compris les comptes fournisseurs, les comptes clients et les conciliations.
Suivre et declarer les fonds et depenses conformement aux lignes directrices.
Preparer les rapports financiers pour les bailleurs de fonds et les parties prenantes; consolider les rapports des beneficiaires.
Elaborer et surveiller les budgets de projet; effectuer des previsions et conseiller sur la reaffectation de fonds.
Soutenir les beneficiaires dans leur reddition de comptes financiers et s'assurer de la remise ponctuelle des documents.
Superviser les transactions bancaires et les flux de tresorerie; concilier les releves bancaires.
Veiller a la preparation des audits et au respect des reglements financiers.
Collaborer avec le personnel de programme et la direction afin d'aligner les objectifs financiers et operationnels.
Participer a d'autres activites de la Fondation YES au besoin.
Connaissances, competences et qualifications
Baccalaureat en comptabilite, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe.
Titre CPA ou equivalent, un atout.
Minimum de 5 ans d'experience en comptabilite, de preference dans un organisme a but non lucratif ou un programme finance par subvention.
Maitrise de Sage Cloud et d'Excel avance.
Solide connaissance de la comptabilite liee aux subventions et de la conformite.
Excellentes aptitudes analytiques, organisationnelles et en communication.
Capacite a travailler de facon autonome et collaborative.
Familiarite avec la reglementation financiere applicable aux organismes a but non lucratif.
En tant qu'organisation qui offre des services en anglais, ce poste exige d'excellentes competences en redaction et en communication dans cette langue.
