ESSEX WELD SOLUTIONS

is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER

to work in our Essex, Ontario location. The successful candidate will provide support to the Controller and assist in financial and accounting activities our Finance department.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:



Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance. Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries. Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Maintains historical records by filing documents. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Supports the preparation of a variety of financial records and reports including those related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control and valuation and fixed assets Supports the preparation of Monthly/Quarterly/Midyear reports and Annual Financial Statements Assisting purchasing, shipping, final plant destination follow-ups, logistics planning and review special application review, data reporting via customer supplied programs, weekly review conference calls, and special activities as requested. Present a professional image of Essex Weld Solutions, and a personal commitment to the safety and well-being of all employees. Participate in continuous improvements, 5S and 8 Waste initiatives, including and not limited to processes, production flow etc. Perform all other duties as required Mandatory cross training required; training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:



Post secondary education in accounting. Minimum 8 years' experience in an accounting environment Computer experience required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good organization and communication skills
