Venture Mechanical is a regionally owned commercial HVAC and Mechanical contracting company based in Castlegar B.C. with divisions in Creston and Cranbrook. We are committed to providing reliable solutions and fostering a supportive work environment that values expertise and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile financial accounts in QuickBooks

Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

Reconcile bank, credit card and vendor accounts

Prepare and process invoices and government remittances (GST/PST, source deductions, etc.)

Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures

Generate financial reports and provide summaries for management review

Assist with project costing reporting, strategic planning and analysis

Communicate with vendors, clients, and management regarding financial matters

Support the external accountant during audits or year-end reviews

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a recognized Canadian accounting program. (preferred)

Have an understanding of Canadian construction project accounting processes.

Minimum 5 years of experience (required)

Proficient in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)

Familiar with CRA regulations and policies regarding taxation and submitting payment

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial record-keeping

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills

Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Good team communication skills and ability to work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
