Position: Accountant
Location: Westmount - Hybrid Work Environment or 4 Days a Week
Salary: $80K to $110K per year

Our client, a well-established company in the investment industry, is looking to hire an Accountant for their office in Westmount. Possibility for hybrid or a 4-day a week schedule.

Job requirements:

- Accounting certificate, Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance
- More than 5 years of pertinent experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in a family investment office or real estate

Job description:

- Review and maintain GL accounts
- Record investment activities
- Perform intercompany reconciliation and transactions between investments, holdings, foundations and trust accounts
- Prepare tax slips and coordinate tax fillings
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Perform reporting on the status of investments
- Adjust journal entries
- Prepare month-end and year-end reports
