This is the perfect opportunity for candidates who have recently achieved their CPA designation, are enrolled in the CPA program, or have equivalent work experience.



Reporting to the FP&A Team Lead, the Accountant will support all functions of the accounting team, with a primary focus on financial reporting, financial planning and analysis.

What You'll Do:




Support the FP&A team with annual budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc reporting and analysis Support the Financial accounting team in providing accurate and timely financial reporting, financial statements, period-end reports, and all other financial data, including: + Month-end accounting, working paper preparation and GL reconciliations + Year-end accounting, working paper preparation and GL reconciliations
+ Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Support the completion of accurate and timely regulatory filings for GST, PST, WCB returns, and income tax instalments and others as required Complete data entry and reconciliations to assist in generating Financial Reports for Accounting and other departments as required Prepare Analysis Reports for Accounting and other departments as required Create, update and communicate accounting policies, processes and procedures Regular review of GL entries and reclassification or re-coding as needed Ensure internal control processes are followed accordingly and meet all financial requirements Work with the Financial accounting team and other staff to ensure the integrity of sub-ledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales orders and others Assist AR in maintaining invoice records, posting credits, and reviewing deposit transactions Assist AP in posting transactions, processing expense reports or reconciling credit cards

A minimum of 4 years of combined accounting and administrative experience in a business accounting environment supporting month-end processes, working paper preparation, and payroll preparation Experience in performing month-end processes, payroll preparation, regulatory filings, managing cash flows, and financial reporting This position fits a candidate who has recently achieved their CPA designation, is enrolled in the CPA program, or has equivalent work experience Experience with SYSPRO or other accounting software is an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
