Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.

Duties



Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and budgeting activities. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations. Monitor financial performance by analysing variances between actual results and budgeted figures.

Qualifications



CPA designation, or actively working toward CPA completion 3-5 years of progressive accounting or reporting experience Experience overseeing a small team Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and internal controls Advanced in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with large datasets Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) is a must Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $87,194.20-$104,616.79 per year
