Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities



Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Conduct account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Perform financial report writing and interpretation to provide insights into financial performance. Execute tax-related tasks, including preparation and filing of tax returns. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to internal controls. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support corporate finance strategies. Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices in accounting procedures. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.

Skills



Proficient in technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and journal entries. Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices, including budgeting and forecasting. Experience with regulatory reporting requirements in governmental or non-profit accounting settings. Familiarity with securities law and wills, trusts & estate law is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills for financial analysis and account analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting purposes. Ability to interpret complex financial information for stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation. Effective communication skills for mentoring team members and collaborating with other departments. Pay: $42,934.05-$84,990.59 per year
