Job Description

IT Xchange is a technology solutions provider specializing in sales and rental of IT equipment and customized asset management services through its IT Xchange and Vernon Computer Source divisions.

We are hiring an Accountant for the Finance team who are responsible for the full cycle accounting up to and including financial statements preparation. The position reports to the Director of Finance.

Role & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for the Accountant include but are not limited to:

Reconciliation of multiple company balance sheet accounts including intercompany accounts and multicurrency bank reconciliations (credit card and cash accounts)

Reconciliation of subsidiary ledger account to the general ledger

Prepare and post journal entries for multiple companies supporting monthly close processes

Prepare Sales tax returns for U.S. jurisdictions to ensure company compliance

Prepare working papers to support monthly financial statements, including month-end accruals

Prepare monthly reporting package including variance analysis for P&L accounts.

Perform other related financial analysis duties as required

Provide back-up duties for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when required

Skills & Experience

Minimum two year of financial reporting experience required

Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/direction

Detail-oriented, self-motivated and a good team player

Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines

Good verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivots, look-ups)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
