Job Description

Robert Half Finance & Accounting - Contract Talent is looking for an Accountant for our highly regarded client. . In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with established procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include managing commissions, handling fixed asset purchases, preparing journal entries, and providing support to the Sector Controller as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare commissions accrual and payments to customers in accordance with established guidelines.
- Handle fixed asset purchase requests from the branch for approval and ensure that invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
- Prepare journal entries for period-end activities, including inventory adjustments, accounts receivable accruals, and reclassifying transactions as needed.
- Work on pending vendor accounts, especially for commission payments, ensuring timely creation and setup of accounts for payment processing.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team and customers to gather necessary details for vendor account setup and payment preparation, ensuring smooth integration with JDE (JD Edwards).
- Review Profit and Loss (P- Provide accounting and financial analysis support to the Sector Controller as required, assisting with financial planning and analysis activities.
- Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned by the finance management team.

- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JDE, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
