Our partnered client has recently acquired a new business which has prompted a need for an Accountant in their Mississauga location. This is a permanent opportunity working within a company that develops its internal employees and wants them to grow with experience! The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical and looking to grow within this team.
Responsibilities:
End to end AR & AP functions
Completion of accurate reporting of overall company Financials
Cash application to AR
Collaboration with the AP and Billing team assure correct and up to date information
Ensure the Accounting is done integrally
Verify, Allocate, post & Reconcile transactions
Prepare accruals and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly management reports
Complete manual invoices as necessary
Processing risk of customers and their credit applications
Weekly and monthly financial reporting
Month End maintenance, balancing and clean up
Work with management to create Financial Plans for the business
Assure compliance to provincial & federal regulations
Reporting QST/HST filings, remittances & tax payments
Requirements:
CPA or working towards designation
Great Plains software experience
3-5 years full cycle accounting experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Collaborative approach to working with internal team members
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Reliable and able to articulate findings to internal management
Strong excel skills to develop and manipulate data
