Position Overview

We are seeking a

motivated, career-oriented Junior Accountant

with excellent customer service skills to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform full-cycle accounting for a diverse client base, including: Payroll processing and preparation of T4s/T4As HST account setup and filing WSIB filings Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations Prepare and file T1, T2, and HST returns and related adjustments Complete period-end and year-end reporting Meet with and follow up with clients to address questions and provide updates Maintain and update the accounting client database Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

University or college degree in accounting Minimum 1 year of accounting experience Hands-on experience preparing T1/T2 tax returns, payroll, HST, and WSIB filings Strong bookkeeping and financial forecasting skills Proficiency with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving and administrative abilities Ability to learn quickly and work diplomatically in a team environment Excellent organizational, English verbal, and written communication skills Self-starter, punctual, and a collaborative team player Working toward a CPA designation is an asset
