Position Overview Join our team as an Accountant in our Cannabis division, with a focus on accounts payable and process improvement! We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to help integrate our two Cannabis production companies. This role will ensure a consistent and efficient accounting process across both entities. This position is based in a Cannabis production facility, so you must be comfortable in this unique environment. Key Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Perform software data entries accurately and efficiently. \xc2\xb7 Conduct statement reconciliations and cheque runs. \xc2\xb7 Handle invoice reconciliations and Visa credit card reconciliations. \xc2\xb7 Confirm vendor details and manage files and documents meticulously. \xc2\xb7 Prepare and process expense reports. \xc2\xb7 Ensure inventory ties are accurate and conduct weekly payment processing. \xc2\xb7 Assist in streamlining and integrating accounting processes across the two Cannabis production companies. \xc2\xb7 Understand the importance and functionality of Accounts Payables and their impact on other processes. \xc2\xb7 Proactively connect dots, adopt new technologies, and chase required information when necessary. Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in using Sage 50 accounting software and MS Office applications. \xc2\xb7 Education or equivalent experience in accounting is essential. \xc2\xb7 Strong decision-making, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. \xc2\xb7 Must be at least 19 years of age. \xc2\xb7 Experience working in or understanding of Cannabis production environments is an asset. \xc2\xb7 Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility. Considerations The position is located full-time within a functioning Cannabis production facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in this environment and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements associated with Cannabis production.
