Job Description

Break into the Plastics Manufacturing industry as an entry-level Accountant through Robert Half. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. This long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Burlington, Ontario.How you will make an impact- Investigating and correcting account discrepancies- Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts- Helping with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes- Input data- Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Strong communication and social skills- Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks- Proven knowledge of account reconciliation- Practical knowledge of cash reconciliations- Earlier work involving journal entries- Check processing experience highly desired- Quality experience with financial reconciliation- Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)- Accounting Functions experience preferred- Accounting Software Systems experience desired- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience- General familiarity with bank reconciliations- Well-founded grasp of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation- Wide ranging experience with Adjusting Journal Entries- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience necessary- Preferred education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business- Excellent attention to detail- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data- High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferredRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
