Job Description

Position Summary





The Accountant will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This position is responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing , and payment applications, as well as supporting the month-end close process. The Accountant will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and deliver timely, accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities





General Accounting


Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepaids, payroll, and other adjustments. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, intercompany balances). Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for management review.

Accounts Payable (AP)


Enter approved vendor invoices into the accounting system. Process approved employee expense reports. Support timely vendor payments and maintain accurate AP records.

Accounts Receivable (AR)


Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with contracts and approvals. Apply customer payments to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date. Perform collections activities, including following up with customers regarding outstanding invoices.

Financial Reporting & Close


Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports. Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed on time. Provide detailed reconciliations and supporting schedules for audit and management review.



Qualifications




Experience working for a Cloud Software company Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices. Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams.
