Accountant

to manage full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping and payroll- including all the supporting functions required for proper year-end and personal tax preparation for business owners and shareholders. This includes managing intercompany transactions, preparing supporting schedules for owner withdrawals/dividends, and assisting in compiling personal tax documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process client payments and ensure that invoices are prepared and sent promptly. Reconcile bank statements and monitor the brokerage's financial transactions. Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. Track, reconcile, and report intercompany loans, shareholder loans, dividends, and withdrawals following CPA standards and tax rules Track commission payments for mortgage brokers and ensure timely and accurate distribution. Support in the preparation of tax filings and work closely with the accountant to ensure all financial documentation is accurate and up to date.

Requirements:

4+ years of Accounting experience in a Canadian public practice or multi-client environment 3+ years of expertise in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

CPA

designation is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally. High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
