Under the direction of the Business Development Manager, the Account Representative will develop and maintain relationships with the assigned customers and provide logistical and administrative support both internally and to the customer at every stage of the sale process. The successful candidate will have significant opportunity to continue to grow within the company and develop their professional skillset. ALX is looking for a highly motivated self-starter and committed individual who will provide organization and leadership to ALX\xe2\x80\x99s facilities. This position is for a versatile individual who is always looking for ways to contribute to the overall management, efficiency, and improvement of ALX operations. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Developing and maintaining relationships with key personnel from the assigned customer list
Following up and assisting with maintaining/entering sales orders, purchasing, receiving and invoicing to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Assisting the Business Development Manager on all ongoing projects for growth within the existing customer base.
Other day to day tasks as directed by the Business Development Manager, including but not limited to, vendor reach out, quote building, follow up on growth opportunities, product research and report preparation and analysis.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and through written conversation.
Have proficiency in computer skills including the use of spreadsheets, word processing programs and other relevant computer applications.
In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate will: Education, Knowledge and Skills Postsecondary education in business administration or a related field is preferred. Trades training in mining, exploration, or related field will also be considered an asset. Applicants with job experience in a similar position are preferred. Significant preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and take initiative. Effective communication & organizational skills is a critical component of this position.
