The Account Manager is a key media partner for our clients. This role is the expert on the client\'s business and a leader in media strategy for the client and internally with the team. The Account Manager has a strong working knowledge of the media landscape.

  • Leading weekly status meetings with the team to understand priorities for the week / month ahead and key deliverables
  • Leading key client communication where relevant - proactive and responsive in account service - acknowledging emails, setting deadlines for response, managing expectations
  • Supervises media planner / buyer in client communications - feedback on approach, checking a response has been acknowledged, proactive and responsive as team requires - general best practice account service
  • Supervisors media plans / buys in best practice - feedback on work, guidance on how to approach and knowledge sharing.
  • Works closely with Account Director to develop strategic direction of client\'s business using best in class research and planning approaches, leveraging support from Media planner / buyers to bring audience insights from research tools or media learnings to life
  • Leads the media team in annual or as required media landscape / deep dives for our partners - briefs team on what is required and supports in their approach, checks in on progress and provides relevant feedback on deliverables
  • Supervises the media planner / buyer, media buyers on deliverables for the client\'s business, ensuring they are in line with client briefs and objectives
  • Works closely with Media Operations team to ensure budget control and investment management are on track
  • Is accountable for media buyers timely campaign actualization, reconciliation of campaigns and staying up to date on discrepancy progress
  • Provides mentorship, development, and career growth support to media buyers / coordinators in the team - providing relevant feedback or areas for goal focus.
  • Is actively engaged in building own knowledge in digital and reporting needs - a growth area for clients and our business
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of media planning experience focused on All Media Channels and a minimum of 1-year experience leading a team.
  • Strong people leader with the ability to lead, coach and develop and retain top talent while addressing performance.
  • Knowledge of bid management, campaign management and optimization process with key Data, Supply and DSP partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of Media Planning and Research Tools:
  • Ability to instill confidence and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to illustrate client business objectives.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and people skills.
  • Advanced level MS Office skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
