LexisNexis, a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, seeks an Account Manager, Sales, in Canada. You require a proven track record of working successfully in a challenging and commercially driven sales culture. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you will acquire and grow revenue in new sources through sales of LexisNexis products and solutions in an assigned territory or industry-specific market segment via expert strategic deployment of resources. You will spearhead the penetration of LexisNexis solutions within your assigned territory or industry-specific vertical.

As the Account Manager your key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business;
  • Meet sales quota by conducting face-to-face/web-ex appointments;
  • Work closely with key accounts to ensure ongoing product engagement and keep attrition low;
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts;
  • Identify and close cross-sell opportunities within book of business;
  • Prospect, sell, build and maintain a strong pipeline of 3x your cross-sell and new business quota;
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track activities, leads, opportunities, and all sales;
  • Accurately forecast results to management;
  • Develop and implement sales strategy plans;
  • Develop key contacts and business relationships;
  • Analyze market research to evaluate ongoing product/market requirements and drive new business;
  • Acquire knowledge of internal and competitive offerings for all products, pricing and solutions;
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the field through participation in professional development and educational programs;
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets;
What we are looking for in you:
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • 4+ years' proven sales experience, preferably in the corporate sector or legal industry, with a validated, exemplary track record of exceeding your sales quota
  • B.Sc. or B.A. or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Motivated by winning and being an essential member of a successful team
  • Proven ability to sell and close the deal
  • Consultative approach to selling
  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of LexisNexis products and solutions and how they apply to our customers' needs;
  • Understanding of professional research methods;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Ability to successfully network both internally and externally;
  • Results-oriented team player, able to collaborate easily with internal stakeholders;
  • Excellent time management and strong computer skills;
  • Legal industry knowledge is preferred.
