Summary Reporting to the National Sales Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Non-Acute, the Channel Manager is responsible for maintaining the base and driving increased adoption of the complete BD portfolio of products for non-acute customers in the assigned territory, through strategic efforts with customers, distributors, and associations. Non-Acute customers include retail, veterinary, clinics, long term care, academia and others. The Channel Manager will align with the Non-Acute Channels Team and Business Units to identify and focus on the immediate \xe2\x80\x98Must-Get-Rights\xe2\x80\x99 and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate growth. The Channel Manager will be proactive in contract maximization, negotiations and developing account strategies.

Summary

Reporting to the National Sales Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Non-Acute, the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining the base and driving increased adoption of the complete BD portfolio of products for non-acute customers in the assigned territory, through strategic efforts with customers, distributors, and associations. Non-Acute customers include retail, clinics, long term care, academia and others. The Account Manager will align with the Non-Acute Channels Team and Business Units to identify and focus on the immediate \xe2\x80\x98Must-Get-Rights\xe2\x80\x99 and cultivate relationships with key collaborators to accelerate growth. The Account Manager will be proactive in contract maximization, negotiations and developing account strategies.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets through the effective management of BD\xe2\x80\x99s base business, negotiation and maximization of contracts, execution of robust RFP strategies, and identification of new opportunities.

Establish and develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within assigned channel and leverage findings to develop win/win solutions.

Translate strategic marketing plans into a territory plan by demonstrating the product value propositions, marketing programs, sales tactics to achieve targeted sales and growth

Work closely with BD partners (dealers and sub-dealers) to ensure they have tools and resources needed to drive growth in the channel.

Ensure a high degree of awareness for BD\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio within assigned territory/channels.

Performs product demonstrations, customer education and in-service as required or requested to ensure the efficient and effective use of products.

Uncover and share competitive information and market trends and insights.

Develop and maintain a level of excellence in clinical knowledge of the products in the portfolio.

Embrace BD way of selling approach and ensure consistent and effective use of organizational tools and resources (i.e. SFDC, Outlook etc.) to maintain clear communication and record selling activities

Lead or participate in special projects and/or take on additional responsibilities as requested by the National Sales Manager.

Manage the territory with integrity and in accordance with BD\xe2\x80\x99s Code of Ethics and all applicable policies, rules, and procedures.

Proven track record of high-level sales successes and driven to achieve results.

Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to achieve results, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities within assigned channel with minimal direction.

Proven problem-solving skills - Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

Ability to influence decisions, set priorities and follow through with actions.

Above average presentation skills in a variety of presentation settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups, with peers, and with senior leadership.

Strong intuition for business and analysis skills with proven understanding of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.

Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), allowing the effective communication of complex information to a wide variety of audiences and bringing to bear for the best outcome.

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build strong Customer Relationships and relationships with internal team members in a matrixed organization.

Ability to manage a complex Sales Environment including managing multiple projects and timelines.

Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight.

Based in Western Canada

Qualifications and Experience

Must possess a minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the health care field, experience in selling in the non-acute environment preferred.

Knowledge of Canadian health care landscape and their buying processes to better influence purchasing decisions is a strong asset.

Education and Training

University Degree required - Business or Science preferred.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years as well as meet BD\'s auto safety standards.
