Commercial Account Manager Canada
Grodan is part of the ROCKWOOL Group and the global industry leader in advanced stone wool growing media solutions, advice and support tools for professional controlled environment agriculture.
This is the Role
As an Account Manager you will develop and maintain relationships with clients and strategic partners within the greenhouse industry with the objective of nurturing and building sales within the hydroponic vegetable market. Based from home you'll enjoy traveling up to 15% of the time across Canada and work closely with a talented team of supply chain, customer service and marketing professionals that make up Grodan's North America operations.
Reporting to the commercial sales director for North America responsibilities will include:
Identifying opportunities, formulating strategic goals and market approaches and creating sales action plans.
Sell the company's products and services using technical, organizational, and client/market knowledge and assist clients in applying the products/services to their needs
Achievement of agreed budgeted sales goals (invoiced sales, price increases, EBIT and market share)
Develop and foster strong and effective relations with existing and potential clients (A/B), dealers and important influencers.
Manage a portfolio of clients including key account management.
Maintain and update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and completion of all data input fields.
Remain current in market knowledge, update and give pro-active feedback to the company regarding new developments and opportunities.
Identify and report progress on main areas of responsibility regularly and discuss threats, opportunities and corrective actions
Ensure accuracy of all orders
Achievement of agreed upon expense budget

Business/horticultural related post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
Ability to continuously learn and adapt to a dynamic market
Consult and offer tailored solutions while communicating good knowledge of products and ability to make calculations on technical situations
Develop and deliver presentations
Able to adapt to internal and external changes within the market
The willingness to travel up to (15%)
Possession of a valid driver's license and passport
