Job Description


We are looking for an Account Manager to join our dynamic Xplore Business Sales team! This opportunity is open to those working remotely from a home-based office located in Southern Ontario or our corporate office located in Markham. The Account Manager is responsible to manage opportunities and sell internet connectivity along with value added services to business clients across Canada. The role involves building and maintaining strong business relationships with each of our clients to ensure churn is limited and that monthly/quarterly sales targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • New Sales - Achieve monthly & quarterly sales targets for net new monthly recurring revenue sold. Analyze and pursue new sales opportunities within our existing client base. Complete prospecting activities to reach new potential clients.
  • Customer Account Management - Maintain existing client base and associated monthly revenue.
  • Develop Account Management strategies and relationships in order to be closer to key decision makers. Conduct needs analysis for client internet services.
  • Contribute to the Enterprise team by attending weekly sales meetings, provide feedback and recommendations with respect to pricing, market trends, competition, marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Liaison with Business NOC to help support client issues, diagnose and find solutions by working with internal staff to maintain the integrity of the business.
  • Attend Industry and Municipal events.
  • Travel to client and prospect locations when required.
  • The candidate will have the ability to sell connectivity services across Canada with a primary focus on the Southern Ontario market.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 2 year degree Business Administration
  • Sales experience & knowledge of the sales funnel activities
  • A desire to proactively focus on outboard sales activities and in person meetings while visiting new service areas within the Xplore network footprint.
  • Previous experience with CRM software such as SalesForce an asset
  • Background in the following technologies to be an asset: Telecommunications, internet security, VoIP
  • Preferred 3-5 years previous sales experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Teamwork & collaboration, strong oral/written communication skills, individual accountability, strong work ethic, ability to negotiate and solution proposals to meet client objectives.
  • Valid Driver\'s License
