Job Description

As an Account Manager for our North American Foodservice business, you will leverage your business acumen and analytical expertise to retain and grow our bakery segment while driving new customer acquisition in a co-manufacturing environment. This role blends strategic account leadership with hands-on operational management. You will be crafting tailored solutions, negotiating agreements and building strong relationships with key distributors and large foodservice operators, while overseeing the day-to-day execution. Success will depend on your ability to influence stakeholders, align internal teams and deliver high-quality, customer-centric outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:



Business Management & Strategic Leadership:



Serve as the primary commercial lead for assigned Foodservice accounts - owning the customer strategy, goals and execution roadmap. Develop and implement tailored customer solutions through deep understanding of customers' needs, leveraging Tradition Fine Foods' capabilities. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless operational execution across Supply Chain, Operations and Finance.

Growth & Customer Development:



Drive profitable growth within existing customer base while actively pursuing new business opportunities aligned with corporate strategy Lead all aspects of the RFP process, from discovery to solution development and pricing, ensuring sustainable and profitable wins. Champion the voice of the customer internally, delivering insight-based recommendations to unlock new opportunities and mitigate risks.

Sales Fundamentals & Operational Management



Develop and execute tactical account plans that support long-term growth, including ownership of all key sales metrics Oversee monthly forecasting, costing management and performance reporting, ensuring accuracy and accountability. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with both customer and corporate goals. Work collaboratively to lead line trials with internal and external stakeholders for product launches.

Technical & Commercial Proficiency



Understand Tradition value proposition, capabilities and processes. Provide input to pricing models and variables to deliver mutually profitable solutions. Manage and maintain customer-specific systems and portals as required.

What you will need:



5+ years of Sales / Account Management experience in the foodservice food industry Bachelor's degree in Business or related field Strategic thinker with experience selling to large foodservice operators and key distributors Proven success expanding existing accounts and securing new business Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, integrity-driven approach to both internal and external partnerships. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a consistent ability to deliver results independently Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Robust financial and commercial acumen with experience managing pricing models, cost structures and forecasting Confident in managing multi-year agreements and navigating complex contract negotiations Ability to travel within North America (20 - 30%) This is hybrid role, minimum 3 days/week in the office.
