(WHI) is a large steel fabrication and repair facility located in the Fort McKay Caribou Energy Park. Strategically positioned in the heart of Alberta's Oil Sands, WHI is able to effectively meet the requirements for large steel repair, assembly and refurbishment in the industry.

WHI is currently recruiting an

Account Manager

to join our sales teamfor the Fort McKay location. This role will be Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Summary




The position is primarily responsible and accountable for business development, customer service, product sales, after sales technical services, product training, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will be assigned a territory and/or accounts as identified by WHI to service on a regular and consistent basis to ensure customer needs are understood, met, and ideally exceeded. You will also actively pursue future business opportunities.

Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks




Reporting to the Operations Manager and working independently, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Promote and sell WHI products and services to new and existing clients while employing ethical business practices. Identify and assess customer needs, show customers how the products and services being offered satisfy those requirements and recommend the appropriate product and service. Develop, nurture, establish, and maintain customer relationships. Maintain and update customer contact database on a regular basis to ensure account information is accurate. Coordinate, implement and participate in trade shows as required. Collaborate with customers to accurately forecast their potential product requirements on a quarterly and annual basis. Communicate with other sales, engineering, and production personnel to ensure customer orders are accurately processed and delivered on time and in spec. Respond to all product and service inquiries promptly and efficiently. Provide ongoing support to clients after the sale to resolve problems and address concerns that will satisfy both the customer and WHI. Work closely to help troubleshoot technical problems relating to products and services.

Your Qualifications:



Must possess a post-secondary education in the field. Considerations may be given to those individuals with equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 3-5 years of directly related industry experience with a proven track record in technical sales of heavy equipment and attachments.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions



Account Manager is required to spend time outside the office, visiting customer sites. Maintains all equipment such as, cell phone, laptop, vehicles, etc. expected or given to perform their job and tasks related.

Must have a good understanding of products and services, technical sales process and cycle. Strong interpersonal skills to relate to all customers and co-workers at all levels. Basic mathematic skills to perform accurate calculations. Computer skills to utilize and maximize the capability of various software applications to enhance productivity. Effective communication skills to listen, write and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levels. Presentation skills to effectively promote and sell WHI products and services or provide product training to customers. Self-motivated to manage time effectively and productively. Works independently with minimal direction. Collaborates with others on the team to ensure the customer product order is correct.
