Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Category Manager, Crop Protection and Seed on a permanent basis on our Ag Solutions team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Be accountable for implementing and generating forecasts, determine and order ideal volumes to service Western Canadian Co-op retails.
• Provide guidance to Senior Manager Crop Protection and Seed in setting annual sales, margin, and inventory budget.
• Establish pricing, develop strategies for product offers, understand and optimize margin towers and maximize profitability.
• Effectively communicate with Co-op retails, internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel to locations as required and estimated to be 5 to 10% annually.

You will work closely with suppliers, local retails, and will report into the Category Development Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, resourcefulness, creativity, and nimble learning.

Our Agro team helps to feed and grow Western Canadian communities by sourcing and distributing products and services to local Co-ops in the feed, crop supplies and fertilizer business.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:

• Have 6-9 years of relevant experience in agriculture sales, purchasing or marketing with preferred experience related to Crop Protection and Seed sales and distribution.
• Have a degree in agriculture or business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Agriculture retail, wholesale or manufacturer experience is an asset.
